I absolutely love when I get contacted to do reviews of Wubbzy movies. They are my absolute favorite show that my daughter watches. The most recent Wubbzy DVD released is Escape from Dino Island. As usual, it's quite wacky, and so much fun!

Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!, takes viewers on a “dinomite” adventure in the brand-new DVD, “Escape From Dino Island.” Whether it’s exploring the jungle, swinging from vines or “discovering” friendly new creatures, the latest release provides tons of prehistoric fun for preschoolers throughout the land. “Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! Escape From Dino Island,” the newest installment in the best-selling DVD series from Anchor Bay Entertainment, lands at retail from coast-to-coast, Tuesday, May 4, 2010.
For even more “di-namic” fun, following are some cool things for kids and families to “dig” into in their own communities:
{ Natural history museums – Many of these learning-rich institutions have amazing dinosaur exhibits for kids of all ages
{ “Walking with Dinosaurs” – This spectacular show is now making tracks across the country, providing families with a simulated event that helps kids experience what life was like when the dinosaurs roamed the Earth (best for kids ages 3+, visit www.dinosaurlive.com for more details)
{ Local zoos – Visit your local zoo for dinosaur-themed events and activities…and remember, many animals found in today’s zoos may have evolved from these awesome creatures!
{ Plan a dino-themed party or backyard “rock dig” – This is a great way to celebrate your child’s b-day and they’ll be so busy having fun, they won’t even realize they’re learning too! http://www.dinosaursrock.com/
And here are some dino-tastic facts to keep kids learning and laughing! Did you know…?
¶ …most dinosaurs walked on their toes!
¶ …dinosaurs first appeared during the Triassic period 248 to 213 million years ago!
¶ …the stegosaurus had a brain the size of a walnut!
¶ …dinosaurs probably lived to be between 75 to 300 years of age!
¶ …the smallest known dinosaur is Compsognathus, which lived in Europe during the late Jurassic period, and was about the size of a chicken!
Some silly ways to tickle your child’s “funny bone”:
Q: What do you call a fossil that never wants to work?
A: Lazy bones!
Q: What do you call a dinosaur that never gives up?
A: Try-Try-Try-ceratops!
