5 I think we need to invest in some flood insurance!

I woke up at 4am to a strong thunderstorm. We have a creek behind our house. I was curious to see if it floods since the other day there were signs of it. We had a storm overnight, but in the morning the creek was fine yet I saw signs of flooding. ie: debris around trees, grass and plants folded over in the same direction, and some misc logs, and brush laying around. I got out of bed around 5:45am since it started to get light then. Well, I look out the window and see a river of water flowing on by! So I run out front and out onto the porch, and it's really close to our steps. By the time 5 minutes went by, it's up to the steps, throughout the garage, covering the garden, and flowing down our drive. It even pushed out propane tank, and if it weren't for the trees I am sure it would have floated past the back porch! What a scary feeling. I am no longer going to look forward to those summer storms that water my garden.

We are in NorthEast Ohio. Just a small creek behind the house. Amazing the water that was rushing around the house!

Oh wow, that would be scarey. It's been raining quite a bit here too and we've gotten a little blooding, but nothing like that.
